Free Initial Enquiry
Tell us your household situation, the tasks you need help with (cleaning, cooking, child or elderly care), preferred hours and start date. Enquiry via WhatsApp or phone is free of charge.
Candidate Shortlist
Based on your requirements, we shortlist suitable local home assistants from our network — mid-career Hong Kong residents who have completed home-care retraining.
Meet & Interview
Arrange a phone, video or in-person interview so you can speak with the candidate directly, confirm experience, and agree on duties, hours and hourly rate before any commitment.
Confirm & Start Work
Once both sides agree, the assistant can usually start the same day or within the same week. We remain available during the engagement to assist with any questions.
What You Can Expect From Us
In line with the Trade Descriptions Ordinance and the Code of Practice for Employment Agencies, the following are made clear before you commit:
Honest & transparent
Hourly rates, scope of work and any agency fees are confirmed in writing before you commit — no hidden charges.
Licensed agency
Operated by Makarios Employment Agency Limited, a Hong Kong Labour Department licensed employment agency (EA Licence No. 83180).
Local home assistants (referral)
Local home assistants are independent service providers introduced through our network — they are not employees of Makarios.
Subject to availability
Start dates, hourly rates and candidate availability depend on individual circumstances and cannot be guaranteed.
